The Heathman Hotel's values and operations revolve around being environmentally engaged in Kirkland and promoting sustainability, use of organic natural products and earth awareness. We've even adopted Kirkland's downtown Heritage Park, volunteering man hours to work with the Parks Department once a month on upkeep and care. Our name ("pente" for meaning five, and "terra" meaning earth) establishes our mission to engage the five senses using natural elements from our rich earth. Our eco friendly hotel programs include innovative green policies at Penterra Spa
- Consciously use product lines in all treatments and services that contain natural oils and many organic ingredients including 100% organic U-Spa, Sundari and Vegan Nail Polish (100% vegan, with no animal testing
nor formaldehydes) - Introduced the well known Susan Posnick organic mineral cosmetics to the Seattle-Kirkland area

Trellis Restaurant
Executive Chef Brian Scheehser (named by Seattle Magazine as a "Best Green Chef") creates fresh cuisine, featuring produce grown in an organic manner on his 10-acre transitional, Salmon-Safe certified farm, along with other products sourced from the region's artisan and organic suppliers. - All fryer oil is recycled and used for bio-diesel
- All egg and produce food scraps are recycled into compost for use on Chef's Farm
- Green houses built on the Farm provide fresh produce year-round
