Thai Massage

- Typified by stretching and deep pressure, and performed without oil on a padded floor mat. The practitioner uses hands or feet to apply firm rhythmic pressure, and the guest wears comfortable clothes that allow for movement. A full session typically lasts two hours and may include a walk on the back or placing the body into yoga-like positions. 90 or 120 min.

Reflexology

- A natural Eastern healing art based on the principle that reflex points in the feet, hands and ears correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body. Through application of pressure on these points, the feet being the primary area of application, reflexology relieves tension, improves circulation and helps promote the natural function of the related areas of the body. 30 or 60 min.

Tui Na

- This ancient form of Chinese massage associated with Fire Cupping uses rhythmic compression along energy channels of the body to restore and balance energy. It is especially effective for focusing on specific problems such as chronic pain, arthritis, sciatica, and muscle spasms. Tui Na aids conditions such as insomnia, constipation, migraines, and stress, as this modality does not simply work on the muscles, bones, and joints, but also with the energy of the body at a deeper level. Reiki

- Reiki is a Japanese technique that is unlike any traditional massage experience. Based on the idea of influencing a person's life force energy to promote healing by the laying on of hands, a treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around the body. Its purpose is to gently balance energy and bring health and well being to the recipient. Moor Mud Detoxifying Wrap -

This mud is a product of organic vegetation that has developed over thousands of years. Unlike other mud, it contains virtually no clay and consists of herbs, flowers and grasses. Its concentration of nutrients, minerals, trace elements, vitamins, amino acids, and fatty acids has a molecular form that is easy for the human skin to absorb. HYDROTHERAPY

In addition to Penterra's Eucalyptus Steam Rooms, beautifully designed tubs have been set side-by-side in a private room for couples, friends or family. Each individual has his or her own tub and each tub has individual settings for massaging jets and LED light therapy.

Experience a kind of weightlessness as the water relieves the body of some of the effects of gravity. Enjoy soothing jets as the water gently kneads the body, stimulating the skin, increasing blood circulation and releasing tight muscles.

The healing properties are based on the mechanical and thermal effects of water; heat is used to quiet and soothe the body. Commonly used for relaxation, baths can treat arthritis, colds, headaches, pain, anxiety, and stress. Very hot baths should be avoided by people that suffer from heart conditions.

Dead Sea Salt and Aromatherapy Bath

- The unique waters of the Dead Sea have been renowned for their therapeutic effects since ancient times. S.O.S.

- Designed to eliminate inopportune blemishes that seem to pop up just before a big date, important job interview or a wedding, our Skin Outbreak Solution (S.O.S!) is the emergency help needed to rapidly banish a breakout. A high frequency current that kills bacteria is conducted by a small electrode on the affected area. It's completely painless, except maybe a slight tingle, and within a few hours the blemish will be noticeably smaller. Best results occur with treatment occurring as soon as a bump or redness is noticed. 10 min.

WAXING, SUGARING, AND TINTING SERVICES

Penterra offers a full range of professional Waxing and Sugaring services. Hair to be removed must be at least 3-4 weeks of growth or 1/4 inch long. Please refrain from physical exertion just prior to hair removal, as optimal results are not achieved when skin is hot or moist from perspiration. Please allow 24 hours after sunbathing or using a tanning bed.

We offer high quality soft or hard wax as well as all-natural "sugaring". Hair removal using sugar paste was pioneered by the ancient Egyptians. This paste is made from real sugar and lemon juice, and provides mild and effective hair removal. It is easy to use, gentle on skin, and contains absolutely no chemicals or by-products. It is never tested on animals. In fact, it's so natural, you can even eat it!

Waxing or Sugaring may not be performed on guests taking Accutane, Retin-A or antibiotics, due to skin sensitivity these prescriptions cause. Please refer to price list for individual services.

Penterra features a private Fitness Center, Spa Sanctuary with complimentary Tea and Fruit, and Locker Rooms with men's and ladies' Eucalyptus Steam Rooms. For those who wish to enjoy the facilities only, Day Passes are available.

Day Passes include access to all of the above, as well as any Fitness or Spa classes being held on that day. Day Passes are available on a first-come, first served basis from 9am until 5pm daily. To acquire a day pass, please phone the spa to inquire about availability.

If a Day Pass has been purchased and adding a Spa service is desired on that day, the value of the Day Pass may be applied towards the service tariff. A monthly pass is available for facilities use as well; please inquire.
