A Three-Day Seattle Oktoberfest in Kirkland, WA
25 Lakeshore Plaza
Sept. 25th - 4-11 pm
Sept. 26th - 11 am-11 pm
Sept. 27th - 11 am-6 pm
Just a 5-minute walk from our hotel, scenic Marina Park hosts this annual Bavarian celebration of the season on the Lake Washington waterfront. Kirkland Oktoberfest in Eastside Seattle offers three full days of fun for everyone, from $6 German and local craft beers, to $4-$10 plates of authentic holiday classics like bratwurst, pretzels, spaetzle, schnitzel and strudel, all prepared by some of the best restaurants in the region. Other than filling you up with food and drink, there are TONS of festive things to do and see, from the wily 3rd Annual Weiner Dog Race, bratwurst eating, stein hoisting and keg rolling contests, to pumpkin decorating, traditional dance and a soundtrack of live music on multiple stages.
German with a "Northwest Twist"
The Seattle area has a lot in common with Bavarian culture, our characteristic quirkiness high atop the list. That's why yodeling competitions come so naturally to us, right alongside lively cornhole and bocce tournaments. It's also what makes the festival beer list so impressive, featuring rare seasonal offerings from Northwestern craft breweries, as well as classic German brews. A few of our favorites include:
- Schlamm-toberfest by Chainline Brewing Co.
- 10 Below Winter Ale by ScuttleButt
- Hochtoberfest by Black Rave
Festive Family Fun on Dog Day
While much of Oktoberfest is limited to ages 21+, the 3rd Annual Weiner Dog Races (Sunday at 1 pm) is completely family-friendly. In fact, feel free to bring your pup along, as Sunday is Dog Day - just like every day at The Heathman Hotel!
