Kick-Off the Holidays in Kirkland at Winterfest
25 Lakeshore Plaza Drive
It's no secret, we love the holidays in Eastside Seattle! Every year, our charming little city transforms into a seasonal celebration affectionately referred to as Winterfest. It's an all-out festival in honor of everything the cold weather brings, from hot cocoa and spiced snacks, to kindness and generosity everywhere you turn. Join us as we kick-off the monthlong holiday Kirkland Winterfest has come to represent, 2-6 pm on November 29th, in waterfront Marina Park.
Festive, Heart-Warming Fun for Everyone
It might be chilly outside, but the familial spirit at the heart of Winterfest is guaranteed to warm your core. The afternoon has something sure to please all ages, including live music, sing-along caroling, hands-on activities, games and refreshments. For kids, nothing embodies the thrill of winter more than sledding down snowy hill - something made possible in past years with imported white stuff. Families and adults alike love the scenic (and romantic) carriage rides along the shore, as well as warm bonfires for sharing stories and roasting marshmallows.
Santa's Arrival & The City Tree Lighting
It wouldn't be a holiday party without the big guy himself! Santa makes a grand entrance, visiting with children throughout the day, followed by the official Kirkland Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5 pm. Then, towering tree aglow, the Argosy Christmas Ship Festival sails past along glistening Lake Washington, each vessel covered in thousands of colorful lights.
Just Two Blocks from The Heathman
As the festivities wind down, cuddle up for a short, five-minute walk back to your room or suite here at The Heathman, where we can't wait to share the season with you and yours!
