If you love music (and I mean really love music), there's a great chance the authentically American art form known as jazz is near and dear to your heart. Assuming such is the case, there's no better time to visit the Emerald City than right now, as Earshot Jazz Festival in Seattle overtakes more than 15 of the hottest venues in town for nearly 7 weeks of unforgettable concerts. This year marks their 27th anniversary, as the non-profit behind the citywide party unites the world's greatest musicians with local legends, students, and residents in performances that will leave you breathless.

"Seattle's Most Important Jazz Event"

Hailed by JazzTimes for its regional presence and impact on the global scene, Earshot has quickly become a musical mainstay in the Northwest. Some of this year's most anticipated concerts - many of which are less than 20 minutes from our hotel - include:

Somi

October 10th, 8 pm

Seattle Art Museum

Mentored by the 2015 festival closer, Hugh Masekela, this mesmerizing songstress has been compared to the likes of Miriam Makeba, Nina Simone and Dianne Reeves.

Wayne Horvitz: Some Places Are Forever Afternoon

October 11th, 6 pm

White Center Fieldhouse

A FREE concert celebrating Mr. Horvitz's 60th birthday, it's the perfect time to get to know the beloved Seattle piano maestro.

Charles Lloyd, Wild Man Dance

October 17th, 8 pm

Town Hall Seattle

Mr. Lloyd has never met a horn he couldn't make sing. Focused on the mystical side of the saxophone, you've never heard anything quite like tonight's show…

Pedrito Martinez Quartet / Picoso

October 22nd, 8:30 pm

Nectar Lounge

Latin jazz meets hip-hop and Cuban beats at this late-night drummer's paradise.
