Hearth Restaurant, a new restaurant and bar in downtown Kirkland, will open for business later this spring.
The quality casual restaurant is located in The Heathman Hotel Kirkland at 220 Kirkland Ave.
Hearth has been designed to nourish the thriving Kirkland community with a vibrant seasonal menu in a warm and inviting space.
The new restaurant will include the addition of a traditional hearth oven.
And the hearth oven will serve as the focal point of the restaurant.
Executive Chef Adam Johnson will create reimagined dishes of locally-sourced American fare.
Similarly, the culinary team will experiment with techniques such as in-house pickling and slow-roasting meats.
“The concept of our menu is very much related to what’s around us here in Kirkland,” said Executive Chef Adam Johnson.
“We will serve up creative twists on some classic dishes.
"We will also utilize the local bounty and seasonal produce from the Northwest,” added Chef.
"Hearth means home, and we want it to be just that: a home for all our neighbors.
“With that, we hope the restaurant becomes a regular stop for locals."
The bar will offer a happy hour of creative craft cocktails.
Hearth will showcase Northwest brewers and distillers.
The menu of beers on tap and regional ciders will rotate weekly.
For dinner, Hearth will offer an approachable menu of American fare with inspired dishes.
Such as:
- Hama Hama Oysters with charred, strawberry vinegar
- Slow cooked bison short ribs, served with spring peas and carrots
Most notably:
- Banana buckwheat pancakes, served with a banana custard and smoked maple syrup
- Puget Sound Dungeness crab omelet with bacon, tarragon onions and hollandaise
Trellis Restaurant, the current occupant of the space, will close on Friday, March 22.
