A Time-Honored Tradition
Originally danced primarily by peasants, the waltz dates back as far as the 16th century. But it wasn't long before aristocratic society noticed how much fun it was, and the waltz became one of the world's most prevalent dance styles. In fact, there are nearly as many variations today as there are nations in the world, including International Standard, American Style, Venezuelan, Scandanavian, and Freeform.
