Strong Drinks, Great Food, & Seattle Comedy in Kirkland
Laughs Comedy Spot
12099 124th Avenue
February 18th & 19th
Doors at 7:30 pm
Nothing goes together better than stiff drinks and strong laughter. That is, unless you add delicious food to the mix - and that's exactly what you'll find at Laughs Comedy Spot, less than 10 minutes from our hotel. Equally known for their oft-craved dishes and cocktails as the top-notch talent they curate, the only comedy club in Kirkland is also widely considered to be the best in the whole Seattle area. Open Tuesday through Saturday, you really can't go wrong when you come, but we recommend catching the always riotous Duane Goad if you can, February 18th and 19th. Just remember the club is strictly for ages 18 and up.
Duane Goad (featuring Cory Michaelis)
If you haven't heard of Duane Goad, you're probably not from the Seatle area. Here, he's a sidesplitting stand-up comedian approaching celebrity status. His style is somewhat crass, always sarcastic, with a charming air of self-deprecation thrown in. For his February shows in Kirkland, he'll be accompanied by local teacher and comedian, Cory Michaelis.
Mouthwatering Ways to Meet the Two-Item Minimum
Your $10 ticket ($15 at the door) gets you in, but you'll still need to purchase two items throughout the night to keep your seat. That's easy when you consider inspired drinks like the Skinny Root Beer Float with vanilla vodka ($7), and co-owner Dave's special sauces on afforadable dishes ranging from Butternut Squash Ravioli in sherry butter ($9), to the finger-licking Sweet and Spicy Burger ($10).
Don't Miss Open Mic Night
Admission is free every Tuesday, featuring emerging talent onstage and a Starving Artist Menu with $2 draft beers and hot dogs.
